Tire Mounting

Tire mounting can be dangerous and should be done only by trained persons using the proper tools and procedures. Serious injury or death may result from explosion of tire/rim assembly due to improper mounting. Always have your tire service professional mount your tires on rims. If you are not thoroughly familiar with U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association’s mounting procedures, never attempt to mount tires.

Tire changing can be dangerous and should be done by trained personnel using the proper tools and procedures. Always read and understand any manufacturer's warnings contained in owner's manuals, on the equipment, listed on websites, and molded onto tire sidewalls.

Failure to comply with these procedures may result in faulty positioning of the tire and/or rim parts and cause the assembly to burst with explosive force sufficient to cause serious physical injury or death. Never mount or use damaged tires or rims.

For more information on tire mounting safety and procedures, refer to the USTMA wall chart, "Demounting and Mounting Procedures for Passenger and Light Truck (LT) Tires."
